At Westside Baptist Church, Dipolog City

The Pastor was invited to be the guest preacher at Westside Baptist Church in Dipolog last February. This is the second church planted by veteran American church planter Pastor Bruce Rice. The church graciously extended the invitation to the Pastor's whole family and so off we went.
The above picture shows the church all dressed up for their Couple's Banquet during which Pastor Jay preached.
Here is the preacher and wife dressed up for the occasion. : )
We were treated so well by Westside Baptist Church. They graciously turned their Prophet's Chamber into a Pastor's Family's Room where our kids had such a great time.
Fruit and snack in our room. These were refilled every day! : ) We're making a mental note to treat our church guests the way we were treated here.
And chilled drinks, too!
We regret not taking pictures of the wonderful staff and people of Westside Baptist Church. They were warm, gracious and fun to be with. How we thank the Lord for the sweet memories we had there.

Church Outing

It has been a church tradition to hold church-wide fellowship on May 1 which is Labor day here in the Philippines. Because it is an official non-working holiday and part of summer vacation, both office workers and students are free for  day of fun and fellowship. Labor Day is fun day in our church!

Food that's more than heart could wish.
Swim, eat. Eat, swim. Haha...
Our kids have the most fun. Look, there's even a little island for them!

First Wedding

The first wedding in the ministry of Metro Dumaguete Bible Baptist Church occurred in November 2010. For two young people in the church to be brought together in a miraculous way by God is just so sweet to witness. We rejoice over the union of Mr. and Mrs. Joel and Lorena Erolon.

A marriage made in heaven is a beauty to behold. Weddings are where a church can come together to celebrate love.

Weddings are where the kids can dress up like little angels and eat to their hearts' delight.

Homecoming to Mother Church (MIBC)

Last November 2012, our Mother Church-- Metro Iligan Bible Baptist Church-- invited all her daughter churches to a "Missionaries' Homecoming" to Iligan City. It was an all-expense-paid trip for the whole family. It was also a Missions Conference at the same time and we got to meet with our fellow missionaries as well as the members of our home church, old and new ones alike. All the missionaries were presented before the church as a way for the new members to get to know the missionaries being supported by Metro Iligan Bible Baptist Church. Our whole family is grateful to MIBBC for the whole week of sweet treats. We enjoyed the preaching, the food, the fellowship and the recollection of memories we had in our ministries.
